From Jerry Webster, your Guide to Special Education
Following the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, I ask where the high pitched partisan rhetoric has left us, as country. I also may seem to been in the throes of a love fest with Teach Like a Champion, and Uncommon Schools. Teach Like a Champion - Technique 34
One more technique from Doug Lemov: this one is "Hand Signals" - an abbreviated way to avoid the kind of disruptions that bathroom trips and broken pencil points can become. Trust me, these are not minor things in inner city classrooms.

Push or Pull, Does Structure Make a Difference?

They invited you, as Specialed readers, to join them in the conversation about both the techniques and the ways that these and similar classroom practices support student achievement. Check it out!
