This week I bring you another Technique from Teach Like a Champion: 100 percent. It may be simple, but may be worth a visit to their Facebook page to see it in action. I have just added an article on Discrete Trial Training, an essential underpinning of Applied Behavior Analysis. I have included a video clip from You Tube that demonstrates how one practitioner works with a student.

Teach Like a Champion - Technique 36
Technique 36 is the first in Doug Lemov's chapter on establishing and maintaining high behavioral expectations: 100 percent. It means that the teacher expects 100 percent compliance to classroom rules and routines.

Discrete Trial Training
Discrete Trial Training is the the foundational instructional technique used in Applied Behavioral Analysis to work with children on the Autism Spectrum. I added this in hope that it will help teachers and parents understand the technique and perhaps apply it when appropriate.
