Here was the best thing about getting married: My mother-in-law. Ha, I'm kidding. But she did plan the whole wedding like she was getting paid to do it. You know, instead of paying for it. Oh! Maybe that's why she was so hands-on.

Should You Have a Religious Wedding?
For some, this is a very difficult decision. For others, it's as simple as can be. Since you didn't ask for my advice on the matter, I'm not giving it. I do offer this, however: It's your wedding and you should do what you want to do.

The Dreaded Guest List
I guess I shouldn't say it that way. I mean, these are supposed to be the most important people in your life, so of course you want them there. And, yeah, whomever Mom and Dad want as well. Oh, but remember Betty doesn't like Sam because... Well, you know. And the Thompsons can't stand the Molas. This is getting complicated. Pass the bourbon.

Paying For The Wedding
OK, hang on smokey, we might be getting ahead of ourselves. Who is paying for this? How are we paying for this? It's easy to get carried away with the ice sculptures and the constant supply of Ring Dings (hey, I didn't criticize your wedding, so don't criticize my pretend one). Anyway, figuring out who is paying before you get started is pretty important.

Wedding Dresses and Tuxedos
Man, do men have it easy (this can be said about many, many things): 1. We don't have to buy the tux. 2. If we eat too much (we will), there's a slidey thing to handle the extra belly. Man, I love tuxedo pants.

Meanwhile, women have to 1. Buy the dress 2. Go for fitting after fitting and 3. Practically starve themselves to fit into it.
