Long, long ago in an age bracket far, far away, I was sitting in a tattoo shop that had a sign that read, "The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is tattooed people don't care if you are not tattooed."

Getting the Perfect Tattoo
While tattoos can sorta mostly be removed now, it's better to think of them as totally permanent and something you'll have to live with every single day. Take your time, pick your artist and ask lots of questions. Your artist wants you to be as happy with your tattoo as you do.

Caring For Your New Tattoo
I got my first tattoo by a guy named Tattoo Bruce (I doubt that was his birth name). It hurt, sure, but what freaked me out most was the scabbing that happened after. If you take care of it, eventually the scabs fall off and you have a (hopefully) awesome tattoo.

Design Your Own
Now, I didn't design any of my tattoos. I can't draw anything. In fact, when I doodle, it's usually just a word with a shadow around the letters. And usually the word is spelled wrong.

Well? Do You Like Your Tattoo?
A long time ago, I worked with a guy named Scotty. One day I mentioned to Scotty that I wanted to get a tattoo (he had several). His only advice: Do NOT get anyone's name as a tattoo. Especially when that anyone can turn into an ex-anyone.
