Have fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Thursday! Mother's Day is this Sunday. Mother's Day was first observed at Andrews Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908.

How do you handle major current events?
Terrorism, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes... How do you handle these major current events with your children? 2011 has been quite a year. History is being made - these events will be in the history books, but such major events can cause anxiety and fear in children. How do you handle it? At what age do you begin sharing with your kids? How much do you tell them?
