From Allen Grove, your Guide to College Admissions: U.S.
SAT scores are released on December 21st for students who took the exam on the 4th. For many colleges, this is the last round of scores that will be accepted for the current admissions cycle.

It's important to keep scores in perspective. They do matter at the majority of colleges, but they are just one part of an application. A strong academic record is more important than the SAT or ACT, and meaningful extracurricular activities, strong letters of recommendation, your demonstrated interest, and a winning essay also matter.
