I spent some time this past week with Dr. Ron Leaf, a co-director of the Autism Partnership, an organization that provides ABA services around the world. One of his hobby horses is function: do the things that we teach our children support function in the community?

What's the Function?
The time I spent with Dr. Leaf made me re-examine how I teach functional skills, especially math skills like counting money and telling time. I provide a new article that shows you how to use a number line, a hundred chart and a template to count coins.

Marking the Half Way Point
The first semester is winding down, and it's a good time to examine what's working and what isn't. Lay out some new resources that should help you examine the behavioral challenges you may be dealing with.

Sorry About the Mess!
I spent some time cleaning up my forum this weekend. I realized, when I looked at it, that no one was using it because it was full of garbage: links to sites that are no longer live, spammers trying to use the site to sell rugs or online education. I've eliminated some folders to simplify the process, and I've started cleaning it out for you.
