I've added the first set of new Dolch Worksheets. They are true cloze exercises to give your emerging or struggling reader practice reading high frequency pre-primer words. I also have a new article up on Oppositional Defiant Disorder. I hope these prove helpful!

Dolch Revisited
The 220 Dolch High Frequency words represent half of all words that appear in print. They also provide an underpinning for reading: they are mostly words that cannot be decoded using English phonetic skills, and they tend to be verbs, articles, prepositions and other words that tend to be more abstract.

Light and Heat
My article challenging the reality of Oppositional Defiant Disorder generated a lot of heated discussion, (which was my purpose) and reminded us of both the controversy and the difficulty of dealing with students who act out in anger in both general education and special education classrooms.
