From Jerry Webster, your Guide to Special Education
I just picked up a copy of Boy Alone by Karl Taro Greenfeld. I read it front to back non-stop. Karl Greenfeld tells the story of his family's challenges of dealing with Noah, his younger brother with fairly severe autism. Not a happy read, it still is significant in its honesty and straightforwardness.

I just finished reading and reviewing Boy Alone, a memoir by Karl Taro Greenfeld, the brother of Noah Greenfeld, who introduced much of the world to autism. This is a powerful story, but also a reminder of the importance of assistive communication as a means to build language.
