The Common Application is now used by 456 colleges including nearly all of the country's most selective private universities and liberal arts colleges. More and more public universities are also using the Common Application. Today's newsletter takes a close look at this popular application.


What is The Common Application?

To be allowed to use the Common Application, a college must have holistic admissions. That is, a college must consider more than numerical data such as a student's test scores and GPA. Learn more.

Short Answer and Supplemental Essays

The Common Application's personal essay is not the only writing you need to submit when applying to college.
