Strengthen Your Student Discipline Plan
Many education experts assert that the most important time of the entire school year is the first day, perhaps even the first hour. This is when the teacher sets the tone, as well as the expectations, for the rest of the year. Students watch their new teachers very closely, for both verbal and nonverbal clues as to what they can get away with and where there is wiggle room in a discipline plan.

If you confess to being a little weak in the area of student discipline, now's the time to address the situation and brush up on your classroom management strategy. New research shows that there's a simple way to minimize the literacy levels lost over summer vacation: distribute free high-interest books to low-income students in the spring. Sounds too good to be true, yet it makes logical sense. If students have books to read at home, they will read them and maintain more of their reading skills.

Plagiarism and Elementary School?
