From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
Every year at about this time, when the back to school sales have subsided and before the holiday shopping starts up in earnest, I like to look at my debt situation. And then I like to scream theatrically and tear at my hair.

7 Steps to Get out of Debt
It's easy to get into debt, and not so easy to get out. For one thing, getting out requires effort and planning, while getting in is a natural talent for most of us.

How to Make a Plan to Get out of Debt
You need to make a plan. Step one of my plan was to take up with a guy who thinks credit cards have germs and will give you a horrible disease if you use them. Something boogery that shows on your face.

5 Ways to Reduce Your Debt Payments
Step two was less fun, and that was actually paying down my debt. There's always a catch.

How to Create a Frugal Budget
And, of course, the last step is to figure out a way to never have to pay off debt again. At least until next year. (Ahem.)

It's natural to be nervous on the first day of school, even if you're the teacher! That's why I like to plan (and participate in) Ice Breaker activities with my students. It helps kick off a new school year in a fun and memorable way. ~Beth

Getting to Know Your New Students Through Ice Breaker Activities
Ice breaker activities help you and your students get to know each other at the start of a new school year. When everyone's a little nervous and looking to break the ice, use these simple fun activities to start conversations, uncover surprising commonalities, and generally warm up the new relationships for the coming year together.

One of my favorites is the Human Scavenger Hunt game. I choose to participate alongside my students. How do you help your students relax and get to know each other during the first week of school?... Read more
