From Beverly Hernandez, your Guide to Homeschooling
We had summer-like weather here in Southern California today and enjoyed a day at the beach. The kids loved watching the dolphins that were hanging out just off the shore.

April Happenings
April brings Earth Day and Easter; but there's more to April than meets the eye. Follow along on the April Fundays Calendar to learn interesting tidbits all through the month.

World Autism Day
April is Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd is World Autism Day. My 5 year old grandson has autism, so I am honored to help you and your children understand autism. Don't be afraid of children with autism, reach out to them and get to know them. You'll be glad you did.

Teaching Textbooks
Plain language, friendly fonts, highlighted phrases, constant review and flexibility make Teaching Textbooks a very popular math program for homeschool students.

Teaching Textbooks Reviews: Read what others have said about Teaching Textbooks. If you've used the program, share your opinion with other homeschoolers. What level did you use? How did it work? Do you recommend it to others?

Easter Printables and Activities
The word "Easter" is named after Eastre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring. Learn more about Easter with with these fun Easter printables and activities.
