Although I try not to over-emphasize holidays at the expense of learning in my classroom, I do like to integrate the spirit of the season into a few lesson plans when it makes sense. What's Your Favorite Halloween Book?
Sometimes I feel like I'm digging out the same ol' dusty storybooks for each holiday, year after year. That's why I'd love to get some fresh titles to read to my students. Even though the books I've loved for years are always new to the children, it's a good idea to inject a little "fresh blood," so to speak, into the mix to keep teacher interested, too.

So, please take a moment to share your favorite Halloween storybooks. We'll start a database of teacher-tested titles that we can all pull from when we need to liven up our classroom libraries.... Read more
