Sunday is Father's Day, followed by the first day of summer and my birthday on Monday. Check out the Phonics Programs, make alphabet coloring books and have fun learning about vegetables.

Summer Reading Programs for Kids
Each summer for the past 12 years I've hosted the About.com Homeschooling Summer Reading Club. Your children can use the same reading time for other reading programs at your local library's summer reading programs and/or some of these reading programs.

Phonics Programs
Choosing your phonics program can be overwhelming. There are many phonics programs available and most are a considerable investment. Here is an overview of the top phonics programs available for your homeschool students. What's your favorite phonics program?

Alphabet Coloring Pages
Print the alphabet coloring pages to make a coloring book for each letter of the alphabet. Each letter has a cover page and 9 alphabet coloring pages.
