Sure, we all know about Spring Cleaning. But for teachers, there's no better time than the weeks before summer vacation for getting rid of the extraneous junk that clutters our classrooms and distracts our minds.

I've created a list of four key questions that teachers can ask themselves as they go through their cupboards, desks, filing cabinets, and bookshelves before heading off for a little summertime rest and relaxation. But my most effective tip for keeping clutter under control is to "just say no" to new junk entering your classroom in the first place.
