Last week the story of Christopher, a 9 year old with autism, hit the news. Christopher was put in a duffel bag by his teacher and classroom aide because of misbehavior. Calls are going out for the teacher and aides dismissal. We overlook the fact that the situation was created by poor pay and poor preparation. I offer some suggestions.
