Can I Begin Homeschooling Mid-year?
Many families choose to begin homeschooling mid-year due to problems at the school, kids falling behind, illnesses, or just feeling that it's time. Here are tips to begin homeschooling during the school year.

Socialization: Ambivalency
A mom from Oregon shares: "I have ambivalence on the homeschool vs. public school issue. I have homeschooled my son (8 years old) for the 2nd year now, as the public schools here are rated 'good', but are overcrowded. I witnessed the negative effects of socialization in the schools. However, since homeschooling, he has had little or no contact with other children and has no friends..."
