National Yo-yo Day
June 6th was National Yo-yo Day. The yo-yo is the 2nd oldest toy in the world, next to dolls. They are fun and entertaining, but also a good tool for exploring some scientific principles. Have fun learning about yo-yo's and follow the steps to learn some new yo-yo tricks with the Yo-yo Unit and Printables.
| Free (or cheap) Summer Movies for Kids
Many theaters offer free or cheap movies for kids during the summer. With money being spread so thin these days, the summer movies are sure to be a hit. Here's a listing of theaters offering summer specials for kids. Be sure to check your local theaters for specific showings.
